This is the area of weakness in our squad in my opinion. As good as Kolarov puts in a decent cross he will over hit 3/4 and is likely to a defensive mistake. Ane Clichy isnt as good as we all thought he was.

Ricardo Rodriguez is the one of note i'd think would suit us

Yeah, but our entire left side is much weaker than the right, and has been for years. Kolarov overcommits because he's working pretty much on his own, so he needs a quality left winger/midfielder to help him out. He also makes a few defensive mistakes. Clichy offers nothing going forward. If we did this, Dzeko and Aguero wouldn't keep getting dragged out to the left.

Agreed about the two players lifted above, Rodriguez will be World Class and is a set ball specialist. Pace, power and a good defender he would suit playing next to Mangala.

Reus as mentioned is the dream signing, Silva has the vision to feed Reus and if they link up well then it would give us a variety in our play we are severely lacking.

He would suit a 4-3-3 formation, which we do not usually seem to play so would be interesting seeing how we line up if we do get our top targets.

He's French. They have Digne already though who's better imo. Sell him to the dippers for 25m.

If you look at Marcelo he isn't the best defensive LB, but he is comfortable on the ball. Yesterday against Liverpool he was a focal point to play the ball out of their half playing triangles with Kroos and Isco. You have to have multiple players who can handle the ball.
That's why honestly I think Jordi Alba would be the best we could get. Yes he's not the most physical LB, but he's comfortable on the ball, something that neither Korolov or Clichy are. Alba can get down the flank and aid the attack and has pace to track back when we get counter attacked on.
