Do We Need New Players?

a left back would be nice but i dont think we need any more players.

with the squad we have i think we can consistantly finish in the top four.

to win you need a team with at least

2 goalies

8 defenders

8 midfielders

5 strikers

all strong and quality players.

I would be very surprised if that wasn't the target for next year.

IMHO nothing will be decided until the Club sees its final league position.
4th would obviously mean a far better class of Player would be more easy to attract.
Either way, I still think if Bobby Manc is there,he will probably shift at least those 6-8 players on,who are currently on loan deals (apart from Hart).
He may need to move another 4/5 players on from the squad,who lets face it,they are nothing more than has beens now !! I think we all know who they are.
So 4th = Top Quality
5/6th = Quality players who you would hope could move us up the PL and get into a CL place next season.
We need to be realistic at the moment !! Had we been offered a top 6 place at the beginning of the season,we`d have taken it.5th brilliant.
But 4th ?? Bleedin` hell, Im still in a dream,but a possibility and what a remarkable achievement that would be.
Having suffered (mostly) since 1965,I can wait patiently for another 12 months if we do just fail this season.
But one things for sure WE CAN ONLY GET BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need two fullbacks and a creative, ball playing, central midfielder. Get these three positions sorted and I'd be fairly confident. We've got strikers, wide players, holding/defensive midfielders, centre halves and a couple of quality keepers already.

I would like to see maybe 5 signings max and only two of those to be world class players that would go straight into the team and that would be a full back and good all round yet creative CM. For other positions where we may need cover I think we should be looking at young promising players in the AJ mould

I would actually class Millner in the bracket above AJ, he is already a top class player but does still have loads of potential. Would be a fantastic signing all right and would for me be one of the two to go straight into the team. Would love to see him here but can't see it happening though, Villa aren't going to want to let him go and I doubt it would tempt him yet as he is still progressing nicely at Villa

Fullbacks: David Luiz (10m) (looked REALLY GOOD tonight)/Taiwo* (15m)/Maicon (30m)/Kolarov (10m) /Lahm (25m) /Ansialdi (10m)

CB: Chiellini (30m)/Gamberini (15m)/Kjaer* (15m)/Chrqrynsky (10m)

If we sign 1 from each of these players we should challenge for the title and have a good run in Europe. Players that I have starred are the mostly likely results - this would cost about: 80/90Mill
