No.

They'd have done the same no matter who was playing...even us.

We should love MCFC and no one else.

2nd teams are a sinister and appalling concept.
I don't think my liking of Darlington is in any way sinister tbh.

Its weird though

Darlington, wtf?!?!?!?

Only joking mate
It is weird I get that, got a mate from round there, and seeing as we were never likely to be rivals for anything at all, I think it's harmless enough.

Remember them in the Platt lane end when they went down

Thousands of em singing always look on the bright side of life

Like the fans, but cant forget that they snided 3 points off us at theirs and were the only team to take points off us at ours. BIG round of applause for the fans when we play them, then take care of business on the pitch.

First game of the season would be great.

Mackems do the poznan. Mackems do the poznan.

Do the tune of "I predict a riot" by Kaiser Chiefs?

I also like Martin O'Neill as he's an ex-Blue, positive about us and an affable Bloke.

Yes... until they take another 4 points off us next season. :P

But without those 4 lost points we wouldn't have been able to snatch it from the Rags at the last possible moment.

One of my good mates is a Mackem used to have a season ticket until he moved down to Manchester, he apologised to me when they won at SOL as he wanted City to win the league. From my experience of going Mackems and Geordies the mackems are a lot more modest and decent fans...but all clubs have the odd dickheads.

But I have a very soft spot for Bury.

Any set of fans would have done that if they were playing United at that time. It's nothing special. It's called winding up the opposition.

I just don't get it.

I can't explain it and if I do it ends up sounding like I'm trying to prove I'm the biggest blue ever and I'm not into that, nor do I believe it to be true.

I just don't have room for more than 1 football club in my life. I couldn't be doing with 2 girlfriends either or following 2 religions.

Nothing wrong with a soft spot for a team, but when people actively support 2 sides it's something I can't really empathise with. I'm likely taking a very simplistic view of it all and I'm not trying to be contrary just calling it like I see it.
