Do we play good football?

We have won only around half of our home games, admittedly our away form is very good. Pep tossed off the league cup to united which was unacceptable and our record against too teams in league is pathetic. We also failed to turn up in second half for a cup semi final against a team that is mentally weaker than us. If that's acceptable to you that's great, but it certainly isn't to me. END
Mountains over molehills there sorry. Nobody cared about the league cup, most were happy the squad would have fewer games as most teams have had that advantage over us this season. As regards to the Arsenal FA Cup exit... their bench was better than ours and it took dodgy decisions from the ref in extra time and perfectly fine disallowed goals to beat us, our players had nothing left by the end of that game... it's crap like this that has people calling others fanny wipes "They're mentally weaker than us this is unacceptable"(If you heard a rival fan coming out with that no matter which teams we are talking about...).

Also this thread was not about the results... so many here droning on about the disappointing results, they can't help themselves. End.

Not really, nobody in the league bar Spurs has been willing to take us on and the speed and intensity hasn't been there to break down the inevitable 2 banks of 5. We've played brilliantly at times against attacking teams - Barca and Monaco at home being two prime examples.
Exactly and we are the ones that always get criticised when a game ends up boring... does nobody see the flaw in that reasoning?(it's not us making the game boring... we want to play the game properly others are happy to kill the game... both Conte and Mourinho praised for their "game management" if only sky were smart enough to spot a pattern of when people switch a game off they'd stop praising it) We take enough risks during a game even against a team we know are waiting for that one chance to pinch a goal at the other end after parking the bus all game, that has cost us so many points this season it's unprecedented... yet we're the ones playing it too safe? They'd be the same ones moaning at Pep for not being defensively minded enough if we do concede, it's lose lose... unless we win.

I haven't seen us tear a team apart for God knows how long. We don't tear teams apart anymore, and I genuinely have no idea what you're watching if you think that's what we're doing.

Thats what reading too many Pep books does to your brain- it's been a bang average season , United have had the most shots on goal apparently in the PL, Spurs , Scouse and Chelsea have all scored more than us AND missed dozens of other chances in front of goal - it's not just exclusive to City , the other clubs seem to have more of a backbone and a bigger pair of bollocks than us which is essential in this league, the only leaders we have are the ones who were here when Mancini won the title - a team full of skill AND character in the dressing room, we are in the habit of buying mard arses who are good for one game then shit for three who really couldn't give a shit about the club .

It's been a poor season with the odd good game mingled in- we've had seasons where we've beaten big sides in odd games for the past 30 years- you'd expect the odd great performances with a squad that costs £600m.

Let's see where we are after 15 games of next season - wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we are no better off position wise, but we will have played pretty football though.

If you listen to any Guardiola press conference he is always complaining about City's inability to create and take chances.

City try and play attacking football. The intention is there. I really would like to see how City play when we have a fit Jesus upfront. A player with searing pace in the centre-forward position might be very significant.

We've played attacking football for the past 7 seasons.
