Do we really need an Official Supporters Club?

Surely all established Football Clubs have an Official Supporters Group that is broken down in to Branches as and when required?

It's interesting that a Forum is being used to voice disapproval of Branches? Do we really need Forums? They're deceptive in some ways.
You will be amazed what THIS forum has acheived for people.

This is very true.

For nigh on 7 years this forum has been the best for helping out fellow Blues and pulling together when it matters.

That has been the reason that some have stuck with it for so long.

Oh and i dont no why you have highlighted that, just because i used them, doesnt mean everyone does, have a friend out in saudi who is a member of the OSC.

if you read on the other thread, i said the first derby i didnt have enough points, the second time i did. im a member of 3 branches, but as you know can only get 1 ticket per match.

I enjoyed the match btw, and im going to enjoy blackpool, wahooooo.

hope you get all the ones you need, and not someone from the OSC gets one instead of the gang you go with.
3 branches? talk about hedging your chances !

They are used so those high up within them can wave their cocks.

"look at me, I'm in contact with someone from City!! Kneel in my presence!"

you don't have the points, unless your 'mate' has fixed you up again

your arrogance knows no bounds

just like last year when you were bragging, as you are again here about getting tickets when the genuine fans can't

and before you respond

you were a **** to a poster last year who accused you of not being genuine as you got your tickets off the back of others and then bragged about it

clearly that is your modus operandi, bragging and lording it over fellow (more deserving) blues

j'ai accuse

Take away the ticketing allocation, it's an archaic and out of date process no longer needed with technology and communication advances.

After that, if you want to pay money to join a discussion with other Blues, join an OSC, if you want to do it for free... welcome to Bluemoon.

It seems to me that Prestwich Blue & Tueartsboots have an unhealthy hatred to the OSC in generall & London branch in particular & are using this site to turn fans opions away from supporters clubs . If fans are happy being in a branch it is up to them .who are we to tell people what they can or cant do

But i do have the correct points now, im glad you noticed my arrogance it was ment to sound like that. i've happily got other fans tickets on my card when im not attending a game, and i'll do it again, its a shame but like most things in life, not what its who.

Dad is Branch sec Brooklands and Baguley, Kevin Parker is a mate. I get emails that most don't and a lot of info.
I'm anti LOSC as PB is-they do fuck all and don't like what we, through BM and FB have acheived.

Probably shouldn't do this but what the hell.

i'm quite sure it was meant that way

you show nothing but arrogance towards fellow blues who you clearly think are not up to your, and your fiddling mates, standards

no you don't have the points you lying......

so, you are a liar as well as an arrogant....

i'm sure your thoughts will be very popular with the general populace

shown your true colours as time has progressed, we are not worthy

hahahahaha

a needy nerd

and we already know you care little about others, you don't need to spell it out, even if you could

Where tickets are concerned I see the anti OSC point but it's not like each branch is handing them out like sweets, they don't get many.

Personally I only use my OSC if I need help with travel, always sort my own tickets.

Any organisation that promotes City and makes access to the club easier is a good thing imo.

it maybe like that for branches in and around the manchester area but for branches futher afield and overseas its more than a ticket office

Then i'm all for that... but still, i'd rather OSC's didn't get tickets... as mentioned in the other thread. I wouldn't charge to be a member either.

They used to provide a channel to fans when no other medium was available.

Again - MCFC Official Facebook site 140,000+ members. Bluemoon - 22,500 members. OSC - 5,000+ members.

bm has nowhere near 22.5k members that are city fans it may say that in the members list

how many are there more than once forgotten password or banned
how many are other clubs fans

out of the 22500 i'd say there is about 1500/2000 that post on a regular basis

LOL the brick wall's back.

I'm asking the question about the relevance of supporters clubs in the modern communication age. So instead of doing an impersonation of a third rate politician why don't you, with your long experience of the Supporters Club, give me a worthwhile, well-argued and reasoned rationale for the existence of supporters clubs answer instead of (yet again) trying to deflect the argument or put words in my mouth that I never said?

-- Fri Sep 03, 2010 11:25 pm --

Probably more than the number of OSC members that go to more than a couple of games a season.
