A few years ago we bought some carpet to fit in my eldest's bedroom.

Yours truly managed to cut so much of it off it didn't fit and there was a 2 inch gap round the edges.

Mrs Chabal laughed then.

She still chuckles about it now.

Funnily enough Mrs Fetlocks frequently mentions a two inch gap around the edges when in the bedroom,but possibly for very different reasons.

After the thread on Blazzing Saddles it just got me thinking, most women I know just don't get it, in fact most comedy films they just don't seem to get unless its a fucking Rom Com which usually has a joke about periods or child birth. Most women comedians are dire Miranada that Chopa Choudray bird, in fact I'd say at a push Jo Brand makes me laugh but only on QI. My ex and current wife rolled their eyes when I watch anything like this.

One or two of the women stand up comics are alright , and i have enjoyed some of the one liners that some women have come out with in certain sitcoms .... such as Cheers , Royle Family , Rising Damp etc

and , to be fair , some of the things that the missus says , on an all too frequent basis , leads me to think that she is some kind of comedian !

May have got her name wrong its the Asian women possibly Iranain or something just plain shite.
