Do women have a sense of humour?

A majority of humour is too complex for them to understand. Thats why they like many of these female comediens - their material is very basic and easy to understand - i.e. not funny. But it keeps them happy.

There are many gratification theories about why people watch certain types of tv programmes and the of the main reasons is escapism. The world is full of 'Jo-Average' (male and female), who stay in especially to watch East Enders, who belly laugh at Miranda and who cream themselves at the sight of Z listers trying to Tango.

The world is also full of those of us who watch tv to learn something and be challenged. Including comedy programmes.

You are clearly surrounded by the first group.

Oh and in what universe is Blazing Saddles 'complex humour'. A load of cowboys sitting around a campfire farting is funny as fuck, but not massively cerebral...

However the setting of a black man in a completely white man's world and the challenge of stereotypes for blacks, Jews and whites in a non threatening comedic way set in the old west was an excellent way of mocking racism

Of course women have a sense of humour, they laugh at my jokes/obsevations, granted many I know do like the 'Rom-Com' type stuff but would also enjoy the above video, my Mrs's is pretty good even if a bit odd at times (the scene in 'Fawlty Towers' where Basil says "I'll stick a bat up your nightie" has her in stitches), my youngest Daughter has the best sense of humour out of anyone I know , she's also a comedy genius, so yeah, no probs with me.

Tina Fey is funny. On the other hand almost all women like Miranda.

I don't know much about Tina Fey apart from when i saw the out-takes to Date Night and she seemed like a right laugh and seemed funny whoch made me think "I'd fuck her!"

Other than that I'm struggling to think of a woman who has made me laugh without it being out of stupidity. I was watching the Espanyol v Sevilla UEFA Cup final a few years ago with my ex and she thought Espanyol were Sevilla/Sevilla were Espanyol right up until Sevilla lifted the trophy. I found that funny. Daft woman!

Tina Fey and Lisa Lampanelli are both very funny. I find funny women incredibly attractive (I quite fancy Fey, but Lampanelli not so much).

A combination of intelligence and being funny is the dream ticket for me in a woman (along with thin - hence the Lampanelli comment).

People saying that such women don't exist are mixing in the wrong circles imo.

In the office yesterday i told a pretty decent (arguably) joke. All the lads laughed and not one of the girls got it.

Then my mate bangs his head on the door and all the women go up in hysterics, whilst the lads sit there wondering why it was so funny.

Thats the difference - your average woman is a bit thick.
