Do you agree with the announcement timing of pep to city?

Could be,But as fans we are at the bottom off the list off the knowledge & will only find out in time as we did when Bobby Manc had gone..
But if its true & ive said its previously, professionally they should off welcomed the news but instead they just undermined their own positions as am not good enough,
which i find as un-professionally as low as you could go..
Fully agree, amd they are not helping themselves in the long term

As a manager I simply don't rate Pellegrini.

As a man, I think he is a gentleman and one of the most honest and genuine men in football.

Manuel publicly said it was HIS decision to say he was leaving, and I have no doubt he is telling the truth,
Agree on all counts.

As a result. f the players had any real desire then they would have put in good performances week after week to prove to Pep they were good enough. They didn't.
Proof positive that the board backed the wrong side in 2013.

"When the managerial change was announced on 1 February, City officials felt it would have no impact on the team's performance.

However, from a points average of 1.91 per game, City have slipped to 1.77, winning six of their 13 matches and losing five times in the Premier League."

Not about backing a 'side' imo. Mancini wanted to be a Ferguson type figure at City who runs everything. Look at the people he brought in, for example his mate to run the reserves & his son & son's mate to play in the team. He picked public fights with staff members if he didn't get what he wanted & set one group against another.

The club is trying to build something which will continue to function irrespective of the manager, & Mancini wanted to 'be' the club. That means if he fails we are totally fucked. This way, even if Pep was to make a complete arse of it & they decided to ditch him & Txiki, the structure would continue to function & the new manager just has to 'manage'.

The players are just employees in the middle, half of whom may well be gone by this time next year.

The worst thing thou.they have all the cards in their favour.ie i cannot be arsed any-more(what they going to do.am on a nice contract)
Sell me(i get a pay off) Dont play me(still on a nice contract)..
so whilst your right their not helping themselves in the long term,i think once the motivation as gone & your loaded, they will just hang on for what best suits them..
Not the club & especially Not us the Fans..

Performances haven't changed from before the announcement. It's given Pellegrini an easy ride if anything.

That doesn't mean it's had any impact on the team's performance. We were playing poorly beforehand and it was always likely to get worse as the games came thick and fast from February onwards. Those stats also don't show that we won a cup and got to the semi of the Champions' League.

This is true but it also coincided with DeBruynes injury, so who knows what difference that made ?

It was Pellers decision given he wanted to control the story and thereby preserve some dignity and City clearly felt some obligation by letting him do so. No matter how it played out it was always going to be disruptive.

It all went wrong with that huge Spurs and Pool defeat and the performance against Stoke warranted way worse than the 2-0. Add to that one if the most weird performances in that 0-0 draw at Rags. Those 4 games fucked it up. Southampton last week was a mix of all these games.

We never used to get pasted like we did this season and it started before the Pep annoucement. I wouldnt have imagined teams scoring 4 against us and us doing nothing in return but it started in October. There are much bigger issues when you lose the way you lose like we did in October.
