One thing I am glad about. As a retired person, I no longer have to endure the work element. Thank you Jesus for that mercy!

That’s the thing I miss though. The build up to the Christmas Nativity or the Christmas Show.
One year we did a show around the Chris de Burgh song ‘A spaceman came travelling’ which fitted in beautifully, combining the Nativity with present day.
We had such fun (although tiring) with rehearsals and class parties.
I remember one year there was a really ‘bad’ dress rehearsal and the HT called a staff meeting and laid into us. I, foolishly, said the parents love the little mistakes, it makes them smile and it’s Christmas!!! As you can tell I haven’t recovered from the tongue lashing I got. *lol* But like all shows it was ‘alright on the night’!!

Love it. Try to get all the presents by 1st December and any cards written out. Presents wrapped up early so no panic in the weeks leading up to the big day. Already got 5 pressies sorted and it will all be done in the next 2 or 3 weeks. But no decs or tree until around 11th December apart from the advent calendar.
