I've lived in middleton all my life and lived in Boarshaw for 20 years and moved due to how rough it was getting. There is alot of gang culture there now due to more and more dealers populating the area. My parents had a business in Boarshaw but sold up due to the massive number of groups getting pissed on the streets and vandolism. The place used to be quite a decent area with everyone knowing everyone and getting along but it really gone downhill imo mate

Boarshaw and Langley are the two roughest bits of Middleton, imo. Not to say it'll be horrific down there, but your odds are worse than if you go for Hollin, Slattocks, Rhodes or Alkrington which are all within a mile or so. That side of Chadderton is alright, too.

I disagree with that; Hollin is far worse than Boarshaw, its more or less the overspill from Langley. There are some nice areas in Boarshaw such as near the cemetery/Hereford Way etc whereas Hollin is 95% council flats and houses. Slattocks and Alkrington is nice but Rhodes has its rough parts too.

Used to live in Boarshaw, but now live in the centre on Durnford St. Really decent street 5 mins from the town centre & not too far from the M62 & M60

I was born in Rhodes, bought my first house in Alkrington and sold it last year to move into Archer Park.
Slattocks, Alkrington or Archer Park in Middleton
Summit, Norden, Bamford, Littleborough, Wardle, Milnrow in Rochdale
Summit, Heap Bridge in Heywood.
