Do you miss Mancini's slow build up style ?

I do.

We play too fast now, which causes two problems. it is so easy to lose possesion , but the biggest problem is the fact that you have to run more ..more running = more fatigue and injuries.

Fast tempo football is not what this squad was built for.

Hence why the board want to invest in a new squad.

Instead of investing in a new squad, we should start to play pedestrian football again.

That 'walking' football for FOCs is being taken into the Matchday and has begun to encroach onto the first team pitch.

Bit of a daft thread, hardly makes sense and i dont really miss it mancini's style.

Btw, who is this clarkie that you more regulars seem too speak of? just curious haha

Pellegrinis team has morphed into mancinis and his time at city will end in similar fashion. In fact it's now impossible to differentiate between the two.

its very easy to differie ... see the differences.

Pellegrini did say something wise this week that its very hard in the English game to win the title. Defending is near impossible with 5 teams going for it.

All the pundits that slag us off for being unable defend the title all played for teams that did win with just one or two challengers. Those days arent the same as the game now.

Sometimes when we in in a bad run of form and looking for anybody and everybody to blame, its easy to forget how much of a challenge winning the league actually is.

Mastermind, I get you now. You're sat there thinking to yourself "I've started so I'll finish" and "City, you've scored three goals with 89 passes".
I'm right aren't I?

I agree that we have bevome FAR too slow in the build up and too predictable. We allow defenses way too much time to get organised and therefore we usually struggle now to break down the better teams.

Remember this goal against Arsenal?

When was the last time we scored one like that? Box to box and in, in 10 seconds.

That was under mancini too, even Edin showed some real pace in that move. the pass it to death is so hard to watch at times. My honest opinion is that there needs to be more forward movement from our stikers. Kun is inclined to come towards the ball when he's far more effective making runs behind the defenders. Zabba makes the best runs of all our players for me.
