Do you really believe the league is over...?

As soon as we drop any points, the "Typical City" fears surface again. We automatically fear the worst, it is unfortunately ingrained in some of us due to years upon years of supporting this crazy club. The reality is, over the past week, we have knocked off two further games, increased our points lead and increased our GD advantage over 2nd place. What United, Chelsea and the rest do, is largely irrelevant at this point. Its all about us, our form would have to fall off a cliff for us to throw this away and under Pep, I just don't see how that can happen.

Been over for a while. Of course we still have to be professional but we'll win it because United will continue to drop points too.

As for that run, Spurs have had United, Liverpool and have Arsenal and Chelsea coming up. Burnley had Spurs, Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs on consecutive home games. These difficult runs happen from time to time. Could actually work to our advantage. You hear players talking all the time about how they prefer playing every 3 days as it means less training. Just play, recover, prep and play. We'll be fine.

United's upcoming fixtures

Feb
11th - Newcastle away
17th - FA Cup away
21st - Seville CL away
25th - Chelsea Home

March
5th - Palace away
10th - Liverpool home
13th - Seville CL Home

That's five very tough games from 21st Feb - 13th March, with the most important fixtures being vs Seville in the CL
Maximum they will get from the four Premier league games is 10 points
If we secure only seven points from our next four we will still be ten in front with eight games to go

Its not over till its over.
Any City fan should KNOW this is the case.
To lose it though, we have to drop 14 points more than Utd in 12 games. We must simply concentrate on what we have to do and ignore everyone else.

BTW For those of a nervous disposition.on the 23rd Feb 1996 Newcastle had played 26 games and were on 60 points and were only 6 points ahead of Utd who had played 27 - so half of Newcastles 12 point lead had already evaporated.

I think United will only get 6 points from those games.
