Do you really believe the league is over...?

It's done. Time to focus on the other 3 tournaments and rotate to prioritise those. That's the luxury the gap affords us, until such a time as it doesn't.

IMO you use the squad around those weeks and the A team play in FA Cup, the final and the champs league until such a time as the gap closes to 8, which it won't.

Social media pressure from Rag mates is all too much for some and its always about being seen in the right light by some.

Playing the kids is another one and you can tell those getting it in the ear by txt or twitter etc a mile off with what they come out with on here.

You couldn’t be further from the truth because I'm not on any social media (this is as close as it gets) and my rag mates know better than to text about football. And my comments in the Yaya threads show I don’t give a fuck about fitting in.

I just think celebrating now is demeaning our players/managers efforts. They’ve worked their fucking bollocks off this season to put us in this position, by celebrating before the job is done it’s disrespectful of those efforts (in my mind). It’s like we’re saying you don’t need to bother now lads, take it easy, you’ve won it already. I’ll celebrate more than anyone but let’s get the job done first.

I had a check at the fixtures yesterday and thought that if we keep the gap to 13 or at least 11 over the next three fixtures the we are very close.

Leicester 3, Arsenal A & Chelsea H
v
Newcastle A, Chelsea H & Palace A

Utd have to win all 3 games and hope we drop points. If the gap is still 13 points or more after these games then I think they will lost focus and start to concentrate on the Cups.

Worse case scenario. The gap closers to about 10 points over the next couple of weeks. We have very winnable fixture for the rest of the season apart from the tricky 3 game period at end of March when we play Everton A, Utd H & Spurs A. Compared to Utd who have Swansea and West Brom at home and us away.

If the gap does close this will be the key point to the season. We have two very tough away games compared to 2 easy home games for Utd.

I find it hard to believe though that we will lose all these games. A far likely scenario is that Utd drop points at Newcastle or Palace and the gap stay about the same until our tough period in March where it will probably become closer as we focus on the CL. But we'll win the league comfortably with 3 4 games to go and then drop points as we focus on the CL/FA cup.

Away games looking difficult with poor away form in the league:
Arsenal (1 win in 2 generations) prob drop 2 points
Stoke (hit and miss) prob drop 1.5 points
Everton (win every 5 years tops) prob drop 2 points
Spurs away (can be a real stinker) prob drop 2.5 points
Soton away last day (if we need points they may do to) prob drop 1.5 points.

They are the toughest 5 away WHU probably safe and done well there last season, 9.5 points average drop in the five. The homes games against united and chelsea are also potential point droppers, chelsea last team to win here, united at home last season was a very poor nil nil. I can see us dropping 13 or 14 points but it is whether the other teams can win all their games.

We, as fans of a team 16 points clear plus a massive difference in goal difference, have every fucking right to enjoy it and rub those ****s noses in it. I expect the players to be totally professional and take one game at a time. I doubt Kompany or KDB are texting Lukaku saying it’s over, only lingard would do that if the boot was on the other foot, it’s up to us as fans to enjoy the greatest side EVER to grace English football. We’ve won it, let that sink in and love every fucking minute of it.

There were a few up in ss3 yesterday singing we're gonna win the league. Won't be doing that - I remember being anfield in 2014 and them singing it and it biting them on the arse.

I am not getting excited until after the Chelsea game. Then I will see where we are up to and how many points we need to finish the job, which I have no doubt we will

Good point that. I agree with it except for Stoke, I think we will beat them away. Everton is just such a weird away game for us. I would happy with a point away at Arsenal I think.
