Do you really believe the league is over...?

You couldn’t be further from the truth because I'm not on any social media (this is as close as it gets) and my rag mates know better than to text about football. And my comments in the Yaya threads show I don’t give a fuck about fitting in.

I just think celebrating now is demeaning our players/managers efforts. They’ve worked their fucking bollocks off this season to put us in this position, by celebrating before the job is done it’s disrespectful of those efforts (in my mind). It’s like we’re saying you don’t need to bother now lads, take it easy, you’ve won it already. I’ll celebrate more than anyone but let’s get the job done first.

As a sporting contest it is over. Only one team will win the league. However Mr Guardiola is a perfectionist, driven, beyond what may be considered normal, he will not allow his team to drop their standards. It will not be an issue, unless perhaps a league match is before an important Cup fixture.
And I have also long argued that we would be much better without a certain midfielder. Too vocally on occasions hence a gap in postings.

We, as fans of a team 16 points clear plus a massive difference in goal difference, have every fucking right to enjoy it and rub those ****s noses in it. I expect the players to be totally professional and take one game at a time. I doubt Kompany or KDB are texting Lukaku saying it’s over, only lingard would do that if the boot was on the other foot, it’s up to us as fans to enjoy the greatest side EVER to grace English football. We’ve won it, let that sink in and love every fucking minute of it.

On the streets, people come up to me and say it's all over and your lot have it wrapped up. I reply with a builders intake of breath and a, 'I don't know about that.'
In my head i'm constantly singing, 'City are back....'

Put it this way, on he assumption that we beat the rags at home.
if they won their remaining 11 games they could get a maximum if 89 points.
if we won againt the rags and drew the other 10 we would have 85 points.

They can not afford a single slip up anywhere, it wouldn't surprise me if they drop points today.

It’s not about them, I don’t care about rubbing their noses in it, it’s about us and us only.

I want us to go on and win it doing our best, playing with the same passion and commitment we’ve shown all season to really emphasise just how special this team is.

You can’t expect the players not to get carried away and become complacent when the fans are already celebrating when we’ve not actually won anything yet. I fully expect us to win it but that’s not enough, we’re better than that so let’s set some new records and enjoy the football we’re playing, not winding up opposition fans certain fans proclaim they don’t care about. There’s enough time for that when it’s officially all over.

The best way now is to count down the lowest we can finish. When that number reaches 1 we are champions.

Right now that number is 6 as everyone from Burnley down can no longer catch us.

If we beat Arsenal in our next league game that effectively becomes 5 given as they can only then match our points but would need to overturn a 46 goal difference minimum (as in if we beat them by one goal) in 10 games.

By then we could push close to making that 4 when we play Chelsea at home depending on what happens in Chelsea's next two games.

We should confirm CL sometime in March if we keep up the form we are in.

We are already guaranteed Europa League as we get that for winning the cup and if we lose Arsenal get a slot to give us the league one.

I am fairly sure we have never qualified for Europe in February (and it was really January in fact). Indeed I suspect no team has qualified this early before.

Far more cheerful looking at it this way than fretting over will we/won't we.
