Manchester City vs Cambridge United. 12th May. 1984. Free ticket from school. We won 5-0. we were poor as kids so it was like another world to me at the time.

City v QPR 16th October 1976. The game finished nil nil after both teams missed a penalty. My dad managed to get hold of a couple of spare season tickets from a man I remember us stopping to pick up from Mottram on our way from Hollingworth. We were in the North Stand. I was only 6 years of age but can remember the lovely smell of pipe tobacco. I also can recall an advertisement for Stardrops above the Platt Lane stand opposite.
