Do you support the RMT?

What a stupid, stupid man Maddely is and always has been, he, apparently went to do a piece in a hospital yesterday and fell 'very heavily' on his way out of his (chauffeur driven?) limousine. I suppose he then expected the A & E department to rush to take care of him!! Self entitled, narcissist, with an inflated ego and needs bringing down a peg or two. He is a prat!!! IMHO

The right wing leaders of our country, the govn, the media (Inc the beeb!), the rich, all think they can beat unions by getting public support, demonsing union leaders, splitting public opinion, Daily Mail hate, govn ministers meddling in union agreement talks... and its all amateurish tbh, like something from the coal miners strike playbook.

What they dont realise is just how much support there is from the public, not because of strikes I would say, but because the rich and how they treat everyone else, how their "bottom line" is so important, their profit.

Yes, you’d think the shitcunt government would have at least tried to come up with a workable solution so people like you didn’t cry because it’s a bit of an inconvenience to you.

I would think that the longer it goes on, the more public opinion is likely to swing away from the strikers.
Every time anyone is inhibited chips away at goodwiil.

It's a crazy situation, but the govt know that many of the workers wouldn't have other places to go - it's simple to see where the thinking goes.

As an aside, I saw someone describing a few days back (can't remember who), that the public sector tended to accept lower wage increases during recessions, and this would be restored once the recession ended. Currently, that restoration hasn't happened, and they've been kept below or at inflation all the time, made suddenly much worse by the current high inflation. I don't know how true/accurate that is.

Yeah, it’s bound to have a negative impact eventually which is why the cynic in me feels the government are happy for it to go down that route.
It’s all a bit sad playing politics with peoples lives.
