Do you support the RMT?

Hopefully they can get round the table and get the pay, and whatever other issues are outstanding, thrashed out and get this dispute settled now.

Interesting that the government are happy to let members vote electronically to effectively end industrial action. But insists it has to be done by an antiquated postal vote every six months to actually take action.

It's a bug bearer of mine.

They've also promised backpay will be in the Christmas pay if accepted.

Looking at the referendum timetable the result cut off point is past the last day of the pay period making it impossible to do so.

My own cost of living has gone up 33% over the three years of the dispute. 5% equates to 1.6% per year. The caveats as well mean I will be voting no. However, the feeling I get is that it will be accepted by the members just wanting the backpay asap. If it does I'll seek the redundancy in 2025.
