Do you support the RMT?

He said it was underfunded by both Political Parties when they were in power and seeing as he worked at the coal face I had no reason not to believe him.

To repeat. The Tories, in their decade long stint in power, have decimated the legal aid budget to the detriment of the public, the justice system and indeed, barristers.

Extreme conservative ideology in action and causing real harm.

Just look at the number of applications to the number of vacancies and that gives an indication as to whether a job is overpaying or not.
Also if you were a Bus Driver, you would be very lucky to be on about 1/3 rd of those wages.

I see that as an indicator of other things - low vacancies - who wants to leave a job with a good pension and Union protection these days? High number of vacancies is an indicator that people on the outside want in for those very reasons.

Bud drivers the country over are being fucked over by their employers - Arriva pay those shitty wages and take staff for granted - Arriva drivers in the North East and Yorkshire have been taking action for weeks - strangely overlooked by the press - probably coz it doesn't affect London

Good turn out at Nottingham. Rally on Saturday here as well.

More positive support than negative. Unison/Unite/CWU members have joined us.

I see Schapps is parroting his bollocks as usual.

Agreed. Highlighting for electors the reality of today (assuming it happened) to forewarn electors of the dangers of tomorrow is genuinely inane.

Prob one for another thread, but the Tories are so obsessed with being in power all they have is painting a nightmare vision of a Labour govt, without actually enacting any policies of their own vision. If indeed they have one.

Yet another example of extreme conservative ideology in action and causing harm.
Genuine question, so no race card playing please.
If there is no money in the pot who pays for the Asylum Appeals through the Courts. I assume the Solicitors don’t work for nothing so who foots the bill if funds are decimated.

Not quite sure of the point you are making.
Are you saying the rich should fund the already overpaid train staff or are you just making a political point

Of course you’re not sure.

I am saying the country is not bankrupt and the system is rigged against working people. I am saying the super rich who own our dear Government are taking the piss. I am saying that I support working people getting a proper reward for their endeavours.
Almost forgot, “already overpaid train staff”. So you are fully across the rates of pay of the RMT membership?

What a clown !

I think they have managed to do that all on their own to be fair to them, they don’t need any help from the Tories.
Feedback from the focus groups is they don’t know what Labour stands for at the moment, particularly as regards Starmer.
He has to tread on egg shells so not to upset those on the left who will soon start to grow impatient.
