Do you support the RMT?

What‘s the logic in not entering discussions though? Unless it’s to make sure the strikes continue.

Does this Govt want to govern or has it just given up?
A friend of mine who's also a LP activist has called it The Father Ted strategy; As In the Eurovision episode.

They can see the next decade is gonna be a shitshow economically and want out so they can blame Labour for the shitshow they've created over their tenure.

Oh probably said it here before, but after a year of working as a support worker and the slavish conditions those guys have to work in I am all for union's and have joined one for the first time in my life in my new job. In fact I might be striking myself soon.

Fucks me off that these companies are making money even now with the shit people are facing. They need to share the wealth right now, profits are for boom times.

Are they trying to persuade TSSA members to show solidarity with the RMT?

"It is only right that our employees are given a voice and a choice on the deal – something that the RMT has so far refused to do for its members."

"Other unions should sit up and take notice and realise we can best deliver reform by industry and unions working together."

And is any of it conditional on "modernising" shift patterns etc?

"Modernisation" is longer shifts and removal of anti social hours payments.

Be interesting to see what the result will be with their members. As you say they maybe banking on a resounding fuck off vote.

However the teaser is the travel perk being offered. For as long as I can remember we've been pushing Network Rail to allow their staff to have the same benefits of TOC employees with regards to staff travel. Each time they've said no citing cost.

I would hope that you don't back down now on the promise of some free rail tickets
