FBU claims that the Tories have spent 12 years hollowing the service out about to be proven as the country goes up in smoke and their limited numbers are highlighted
’Power to the People!’
Reply should have been ‘Fuck you’.Here's a simple version of the notes taken from latest meeting with Network Rail.
NR: Thank you for meeting us today to discuss our improved offer.
Unions: What improved offer? You’ve seent misinformation to our members trying to repackage the old one.
NR: Well we have a new offer. We can’t tell you what's in it unless you agree to sign up for it now.
Unions: So you want us to sign a modernisation agreement without us seeing it first?
NR: Yes.
Unions: You must think we’re stupid.

There definitely seems to have been a shift in public opinion on these rail strikes and other strikes. Plenty of those who were originally against them are now seeing it differently. I go for a few pints with my dad most Sunday evenings. My dad became disillusioned with Labour some years back and like many has become more Conservative as he's gotten older (although he's far from what I would call a staunch Tory) but still remains a member of the TSSA despite retiring from the railway in 1995. His mates are far more Tory than him though. At the start of these RMT strikes one of them said that the strikers were "cutting off their nose to spite their face". Fast forward to Sunday just gone when he'd changed his tune to "You can understand why people are striking"!I’m in the camp that says only a full on winter of discontent can get rid of the cunts running our nation and bring about much needed change.
One out, all out!
