Do you think the loyalty point loyalty system is fair?

Some good points raised there although it is a worst case scenario.

If we're going to be up there challenging for the league, champions league and every cup every year for the forseable future i think the worst case scenario will happen.

I still think that it is just about the fairest system possible (although as i have had to relent my ST for the last 2 seasons the allocation system does bother me a bit).
One of my mates has been to every game that points have been provided for since they started bar one.
that was the Millwar game where if you bought a ticket to watch the game beamed live back to MR you were given 10 points, he didnt buy a ticket for the beam back as a bloke he knew from England games had got him a ticket for the den, so the only points he is missing is from a game he attended but those that got the points didnt attend.

So where do you stand on Squaddies. I only ask coz I've been serving since I was 16, prior to joining up I was a regular at Maine Rd, but obviously I haven't had much chance to get to many games. Never miss one when I am on leave and managed to get a couple of years in with a season ticket due to a UK posting.

Other than that not it's been quite difficult to get back from overseas for a Saturday afternoon and Balti pie.

I appreciate you guys go to every match but the loyalty system isn't doing me and every bloke you see on Soccer AM ( there is always one blue pictured in the forces section) any favours.

Question is would you be happy if every blue serving in HM Forces gets automatically allocated x amount of points for the season when they produce their membership No and ID Card or do we keep the loyalty system just to those attending matches?

I know Garry Cook mentioned something about squaddies getting tickets a while back. i reckon there should be a separate allocation set aside and then you can show your military ID and can purchase a ticket. You should actually contact the club about it, they might have some info that'll help and possibly make it easier for you to get a ticket

Nice one,

I know alot of clubs have already done stuff, don't get me wrong i'm not looking for a handout it can be a bit of nightmare getting hold of tickets sometimes. My brother-in-law still has his season ticket and if he can't make the match coz of work and I am at home he lets me have the ticket. So I still get to some games just not as many as i'd like. ie all of em.

Will give it a go though, cheers

It can be frustrating but I can't think of a better system. I usually get to aways by using somebody's season ticket but of course I don't get the point's despite going away fairly regularly. Problem is,away allocations are so much smaller than they used to be. Have just moved back to Manchester and hope to get a season ticket next year. Will this be difficult, and will my 900 pts transfer to my ST?

IMO, I think the 3rd rounds ties against Scunthorpe when nobody turns up should have 50 points and the quarter finals against Arsenal should be the usual 10.

This ^^^^^

Other than making this consideration, I think it's spot on.

But over 36k turned up...... this was the highest attendance for many years..... our last season at maine Road we drew Liverpool at home and only got 28k...........

the bottom line is this.... we all have these problems in the early years... maybe they should go back to the old 1st , 2nd, & 3rd year season cards... the regular season cards have shown their loyalty over many years... as I and many others have done... therefore should always be first in the queue. The big problem is the tickets that DONT go on sale....

Loyalty points is as fair as it gets

You can tcomplain about not being able to get a ticket all of a sudden now we have money

Playing York at Maine Rd on a cold wet tuesday in November - you could always get a ticket then

But now we might have CL potential people all of a sudden can be arsed

Well bollocks to you - If you have a season ticket you get first dibs - If you have loads of layalty points because you have been going for fucking ages - you get first dibs

The rest of you can wait your turn and earn your stripes

One thing i do disagree with is that someone can just walk into a supporters club and get tickets for any game, that system needs to be looked at

As has already been said, the OSC and CSA members have a week earlier to order tickets but still require the loyalty points. There my be some members of that club that decide not to go, therefore allowing newer members of the club with less points to use their card, as that means that the supporters club can still fill a coach.

I also agree with (i think it was PB) the poster that said that tickets should be offfered solely on the amount of points, and not as currently stands where a ST holder with 1,500 can get a ticket before a citycard holder with 5,000.

don't agree at all. Season Card holders should ALWAYS have priority... as they pay their money upfront.
