I'm doing some work with some digital partners to the club and am looking to gauge opinion on the Official City app with a view to doing something better to connect and offer value for the support.

Im a City fan for the last 30 years so any insight would be much appreciated.

don't have it installed because I would never use it , only time I would is to watch city plus when it decides to work that is .
most of the time if I am looking out for news I would of seen it on Facebook or here on blue moon.
 
Use it far more than the website, which I only use for any ticket transfers etc.

Needs to have the option to be in landscape for tablets. Not sure why they removed that feature.

It was awful (took ages to load) but that's got better.

It doesn't do the basics well.
Hard to get to simple stuff and the organisation is a bit off.

The shop is crap.

Finding stuff, vids is hard work (where is the senior teams press conferences???)

Etc.

Just needs taking to the next level and for those involved in it to actually have an idea what it's supposed to be and do and for them to actually use it.

The app should be the 1st place I look for pressers, info, tweets, team news, results. It isn't.

The match radio is great as are the highlights.

Er.

Just spent a few mins on it again.

Never noticed the links on the top to the main bits!

Also, looks a lot better than it did.

So, I'll use it a properly for a bit and give constructive feedback
 
I have it installed. I'll use it to check fixture lists and to check sales criteria for away games. I'll also use it as a shortcut to send me to the ticket page for buying away tickets and I'll generally click on the notification when I see a press conference pop up to catch those. That's about the only times I use it.

Doesn't come across as particularly good but I can't say it's crap, there's nothing I can think of that i'd want it to do that it doesn't.
 
It’s improving all the time.
The ability to find a specific ‘thing’ is a nightmare as there is no search.

Eg we played Arsenal at the weekend, how do find highlights of previous Arsenal matches?
The search needs to have filters as well as word search.
Eg player name, opponent name, league/cup, level, from/to year/season, location (home, away, neutral).
 
i use the app as its convenient but i dont like the way it automatically flips to portrait on my iPad which is obviously landscape.

It's free, and I can't fault it. The live match show is really well produced, and the match comm's with Ali Mann & Co is really insightful, objective and far from being partisan. Way better than those cnut's from Sly or TNT.

Is that the same as the youtube channel? I like the matchday build up
 
Everyone in our house (wife, me, four kids) has it. Really like the match day commentary. I use it to check out what's going on every couple of days. It's free so I can't complain.
