do you want a laugh?

We got 1 point last season from the next four fixtures we have coming up.
We're 9 points up on the corresponding 12 fixtures played to date

BELIEVE!!.

Tonight is so important. If we can find a way to win, we can rest everybody v Bayern (we probably wouldn't beat them 3-0 with our best team, so must prioritise). We will obviously sacrifice the Carling Cup (Bridge, Onuoha etc will play), and will also make many changes at home to Norwich. So a win tonight would give us 3 games during this tough run where we can rest the key players in preparation for the tough league games.

Please win tonight, City!

yep, that's exactly what I think too... tonight is most important match of this run as it's outcome could heavily influence the other ones.

That's how I see it, Agueros last minute goal against Villareal gave us a massive boost and kicked us on in the league, the same can happen here, if we win I think we will be top at Xmas by 3 points, if we lose it could affect us slightly but we will still be either first or second by Xmas.

Our two best performances and biggest hidings inflicted of the season came in games we might have expected to lose or draw.
They were both away at teams who saw us as equals and so did not park the bus but had a go, leaving gaps for us to ruthlessly exploit.
It could well be that taking us on is absolutely the worst thing to do.
Shakin' Bacon went to Anfield for a point and got it.
He set up to beat us and got humiliated, tactically outmanouevred by Mancini and his team played off the park. Red card or not, we were on course to win that game easily. Had Mario not been fouled by Evans, it would have been 2-0. He paid the dippers more respect than City and paid the price.
It will be the same in our next two games.
Just as at Spurs and the Swamp, there is no reason at all why we will not win at both Anfield and the Bridge, injuries and referees depending.
Both will have to go for it at home. Both will be picked off and torn to shreds.
It won't be easy, but as long as we stand up to the long punt to Carroll at the far post, which was our downfall last season (and a reason why he will be picked against us), we will beat Liverpool handily imo.

So far no one has really tested us in the league over 90 minutes, except QPR. The only time Mancini and the team have under-estimated the opposition has been Napoli at home, which has been admitted being caused by nerves. Bayern Munich away we played the wrong team, although after 30 minutes we could have been 2-0 up. This is the real test tonight, as we know what we have to do and will be prepared. We have already beaten Villareal (quite weakened by injuries), the only English club to do that; now we have another record to beat. No one has beaten Napoli at home in Europe since 1994. Let's keep breaking records and make this another historical night. CTID!!!!

Even if we do have a wobble over the next month, we are still 5 points clear, and the Rags have to play Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs away. Can't see them getting much from these fixtures.

Come what may, we will be right up there at the end of the season. It might even come to a showdown in the derby. Doesn't scare me anymore, not with this squad.

We need to do something about our slow starts. Only 4 of our 55 goals have been scored in the first 25 mins. And most of the teams we've played have had decent chances during that spell. The longer we allow teams to stay in the game the more likely it is that one of them will pull off a shock.

We've shown against QPR and Villareal that we can comeback from conceding a goal. But, as the Bayern match showed, thats a lot more difficult against the better teams.
