not reallly no.

but with us unlikely to qualify for europe next year i cannt see us attracting any top class forwards either so we may have to settle for some slow progress and i guess RSC would fit that bill.........unless we can unearth some gem from somewhere

I wouldnt mind seeing RSC in the blue next season since he is a quality striker and we need that

We'll not pay £20m for him, Blackburn kept him to guarantee survival because they wouldnt have been able to buy a better team in January. Tried their luck and we didnt bite, £10m-£14m at most.

if there are questions about his fitness and the expense, and if there are other possible players - very strong and very capable ones, then why go in for RSC unless he's going dirt cheap?

(and that's assuming Hughes is still in charge, which he may be, but then again, he just might not, who knows?)

would be a great buy. Showed class in a team that created few chances. He will fill his boots with the service he will get from our creative players. To flourish in the prem you need to have more than one game plan and he is a proven target-man and scorer.

With RSC from Blackburn, Valencia from Wigan, Johnson from Portsmouth and Hangerland from Fulham, that would strengthen our squad for next season if only to replace, Benjani, Vassell, D Mills and TBH.
