We should have gone for more!?

Don't get me wrong I was loving today's performance, it seemed to good to be true at times.... but after our 4th I was a little frustrated. It was around 70 mins, spuds had 10 men. They were playing shit, we were awesome. There was no way of them coming back the way we were playing. They were up for the taking and their heads were down and they weren't bothered anymore(as shown through the defending of the 5th city goal).

With the 10 men on a plate we stopped attacking and scoring, we instead gave the ball to the defenders to practice passing. We could have got 7 or 8. We should have.
People will say it doesn't matter because we won anyway but it does. 2 or 3 goal could be the difference between 2nd and 1st. That's why man u didn't show any mercy and tore arsenal apart. They know how important it is and when they saw arsenal on their knees they took the opportunity and overshadowed our win to get 1st.

For those that cba reading the thread and just choose to highlight bad bits, overall it says:
We were fantastic but I'm just saying we could've got more goals if we wanted to, and nothing but good would have come out of it.

I know its early days but it all counts.

Err i think you need to lie down mate. 5 away at spurs is not easily done. We played the perfect game and didn't tire ourselves out or get injuries.

I think your asking to much mate with this thread tbh

Mancini is a classy guy and didn't want to kick a dog while it's down. Fergie on the other hand wanted to thoroughly humiliate his great rival. Neither way is wrong or right, but I don't think Bobby was worried about running the score up three games into a 38 game season.

He wanted to squeeze the most out of the opposition as possible, perhaps that's why he's so successful

I thought this too. I've never been a fan of knocking the ball around in the back for fun. We need goals and goal differential as well. This battle will be very Real-Barca. Both of these clubs put up 6-7 pretty often not for fun alone but because they need to.

Imagine pushing for another and we lose someone to a hammy.

Imagine getting sat on near the end like against Bolton

And I'm not saying it's bad management or anything, I really like the guy, just that if we pushed more we would have got more, I wouldn't say it's asking to much, they looked really down towards the end.

Maybe it's just my hatred of everything spurs

FFS, if the rags score that many again this season never mind 5 past Spuds at theirs, I'll plait shit.

We will score plenty of goals, if the league is decided on goal difference, I'll also plait shit.

Lot of shit to be plaited if I'm wrong, but I'm not.

;)

If I was really desperate to win this argument I would put pics of fergie up with all his trophies??..... But it's not worth it

You have to take into account what is put in front of you. I honestly think if we were at home against that Arsenal team on this particular day in the form we're in and the form they're in, we'd have put at least 8 past them. Having said that, I'd have been surprised to see the rags put 5 past Spurs had they been playing at WHL today.
