Does anyone get on with their neighbours?

Top Family next door, all Leeds nuts, he comes to City with me a few times a season and I go to watch Leeds a couple of times, help each other out from cutting the 180 foot edge, we have 5 cars, never any issue parking, his Mum and Dad lived next door who we got on really well with and when they moved in when they both had passed away they have never forgotton how we looked out for them.

Summers hell having BBQs all the time :)

Just reading the parking thread made me think, that not many of us get on. I live in a semi and I detest the fuckers next door to me!

That's not very christian of you, "love thy neighbour".

Easy for you to say island in the middle of the ocean boy

As i mentioned in the other thread like this, the guy across the road is a fucknuckle, but we keep out of each others way after having a had few words.
All the rest of my neighbours are fine, apart from a couple of barking dogs.

-- Sat Apr 06, 2013 1:49 pm --

Ha-ha I was awaiting for you to spring that! Nah call me old fashioned I am more for an eye for an eye than turn the other cheek!

I had noticed ;)

house next door on the right a mother and daughter, daughter about 20, the house next to them a Romanian family that live in the house that my paternal grandparents lived in while I grew up, just up the road is the house that my next door neighbour grew up in, and I often played Cricket and football with her brother during the summer holidays, so have known her for about 40 years (i am now 44).
About four door up from my grandparents old house is the house my next door neighbour on the left grew up, I served for about 18 years with her wee brother, who I also knew from school and playing round the estate from my youth.
Couldnt ask for better neighbours TBH (unless I got a couple of 18 - 20 year old Swedish blond nympho's with a penchant for 44 year old greying blokes.
The three German Shepherds to the right are also quite useful if anyone is interested in burgling my house if i am away)

My next door neighbour is a single woman who is always pissed at weekends. I've found her flat out in the middle of the road and had to carry her into my car and take her home and she once walked into our flat at 3 am and didn't have a clue where she was.
The bloke the other side has been there for 3 months and I've never seen him. He goes out to work at 4 AM but I never hear him come back.
The people above are nice, the bloke helped me dig my car out of the snow last month.

the bloke next door to us is alright if he's on his own but his wife is the most miserable, up her own arse cow i've ever met

We live on a road of 40 houses built in the 60's - no joke, pretty much EVERYONE knows everyone else. I bet I could name over 30 of the owners.

There are five houses where people moved in as the street was built and have never left.
And there's loads of people who lived here as kids and then bought a house of their own when they grew up.

Its not everyone's cup of tea but as far as I'm concerned, you can't beat it.

House to my left is a Bolton season ticket holder, directly opposite is a Blackburn season ticket holder and the house to my right is a Rag season ticket holder ( his car even has a UTD number plate but, funnily enough, not seen much of him since last May !!)
Strangely enough they are all brilliant and we've not heard a cross word from anyone in the 12 years we have lived here. Wouldn't live anywhere else.

Rent my parents old terrace right in the middle of the street on the left a bloke and his Filipino wife and kid, he works shifts and she has her mates round drinking and chatting, he comes home every so often after a night shift, she bollocks him for waking her up. on the right a couple with 2 kids, never see them, if you are out the back hanging out washing or emptying the bins they and their in the yard they go inside till you finished, very reclusive. to be fair never see any of they, there are a few neighbours up the street been around from my childhood I let onto but bar that most of the houses are now letting agency so people come and go before you even meet them
