Does VK come back in at CB, Joleon LB?

Erm, Bridge was our best player last night. He's been excellent this season. Why on earth would you drop him?

Vince will get games, but he has to earn his place in the side again.

I've said it on here before and I'll say it again - I'm aware that people will disagree but Lescott is not good enough. He is weak in the air defensively, loses his man from set pieces regularly and is far too quick to go to ground. Centre half is our missing link; improve here and we will make even more serious progress.
lescott was our best player defending corners last night and when he was put on dunne, dunnie never got a sniff of a chance

Just plain wrong, Lescott is quality mate. He is getting better and better so I don't think you are being fair.

No chance.

1)Bridge is playing excellently
2) Lescott is not a left back

I am a Bridge fan so don't think I am slagging him, I am just concerned that we are a soft touch on set pieces and moving Joleon to LB and bringing VK back in at CB would give us an extra option.

Lescott can play LB and can play that position really well he did it on many occasions for Everton.

bridge is not playing particularly well in my opinion! he was caught out on numerous occasions last night. his ball carrying and pass selection leaves alot to be desired. on a plus side , he is very fit, although he will never play for england again, he is just about doing wots required. hughes should look for anothe rleft back to bolster our flank.
Bellamy was outstanding last night, gonna be hard to keep him out of the team/squad even wen robbie returns.
ireland proved AGAIN , just how "world class" he really is!

Bridge had a great game yesterday he has been alot better this season, but its a good option
totally agree with this, after a shaky start bridge is starting to look the part, quick and able to get up and down the flank aswell as defend.

I hope you're right and I'm proved wrong. But- on his arse, van Persie scores, wrong footed and West Ham score a perfectly good goal which fortunately for him was ruled out. Watch him carefully at set pieces - he loses his man too often and is very succeptible to the diagonal ball over the top. Toure is covering up his mistakes at the moment.

personally against big teams id stick him in midfield with dejong, no one would be getting passed them two, with ireland/barry just ahead of them both, drop swp and ireland/barry for those kinda games- my preference would be barry, but i dunno its so hard to fit thm all in.
there is always gonna be someone upset at being left out.

i just think vinny and DJ together would work well and im pretty sure they played this way at hamburg.

I think Vinnie will be a great option for us once he's back to full match fitness. He provided a great platform for us last season, i feel Dejong is better in the anchor position, but VK is a proven centre back. I think moving Joleon to left back would be a great idea, due to the lack of defensive work Robbie gets through. This season we have been fantastic, but we do seem to lack an aerial presence. Shay, zab,Vinnie, toure,Lescott, barry,Stevie,Robbie,Bellamy,Tevez and Ade would be my starting lineup. The future is looking good,Cmon City!!!!
