Dominic Cummings

Why are MP's scared of him?

I've seen plenty this morning to condemn his actions but go out of their way to not attack him.

Maybe all that data stealing he did with Leave EU has got all the evidence to sink any one of them.

Will end up resigning, take a few months off whilst still effectively doing the job in the background and will then be officially back.

Politics is like football and being sacked or resigning means fuck all.

It's jobs for the boys.

I think the lack of apology followed by more revelations means he is toast

I don't necessarily disagree with some of Cummings' hobby horses about structure and technology (although it is often presented with a cheap, inaccurate, bullshit call of 'red tape and bureaucracy, aren't they shitting on us all' to secure cheap, populist support). Some probably have real merit.

Let's not pretend that this government isn't continuing the practice of Cameron though and getting public assets (including data) into private hands as quickly as they can.

a) he has dirt on them
b) he's the brains behind everything they are doing, they know they don't actually have a plan without him
c) they are only there in the first place because of their loyalty to him, they binned off all the non-loyalists

The thing is, that was an entirely predictable and simple enough strategy that would have worked. But then they've rallied round him, completely pissed over all the lockdown rules they put in place and generally dragged themselves down with him. It's not the actions of a group intending to do as you said (which is obviously what they should have done).

The government changing the rules to defend him is now a far worse issue than him being an arrogant tit who ignored the rules.

Cummings chums in the media are citing ‘ruler privilege’ as a reason why he should not only stay but be exempt from Govt rules and, presumably, the law of the land. I wasn’t aware that Cummings had been elected ‘supreme ruler of the UK’ but perhaps I missed it.

Even more amusing it’s the same mob who rail against the ‘elites’ and their contempt for the common folk when it comes to Brexit etc.
Haven't seen anyone on here supporting him though - will he a sad loss to Brexit, but that is my only concern.

The guy has been an utter prat and his position is untenable - simples
