What he did was not wrong, as per NHS advice re small children. In his situation I would have done the same thing even if it was against the rules.
Journos are out to get him , it's what they do. Some of the childish nonsense they and his political opponents are spouting reflects the fact they all think the general public are idiots.

I do find it strange though that his opponents are so blinded by hatred that he's probably been held to more scrutiny in the last hour over his trip to Durham than Tony Blair was for Iraq, Cameron for Brexit, or May for Windrush. Strange times.

Ha I have step kids from when they were young,key workers were sending their kids to school,sending them to strangers,i am sure he could have trusted plenty of people in london,really anyone who mounts this kind of defence for him probably didn't stick to the rules either

Its got lots to do with it.

Preaching about other kids childcare and how they should be looked after when you dont have any kids yourself is a bit rich to be honest.

Not many are defending him as far as i can see but they are rightly putting some untruths being spouted on here from some, right.

I have stepkids who were young kids when I married their dad,i have several nieces and nephews ,nice deflection from what he did

In hindsight I probably should have done. In the end a bit of employer flexibility and scarily leaving my eldest (12) in charge avoided it.

But there's a very big difference in taking a preventive measure and seeking childcare if you feel you could be exposed or at risk at some point; your situation.

To only giving your child into the care of another once you discover you have Covid-19. The likelihood of transference at that point is already high; which is what he was doing and it was and is highly irresponsible and disgusting. Especially as parents across the globe have had to cope in the same household.

He also didn't even get any childcare, he was with this child and wife the whole time.
