Great success for Kim and Trump.

For Kim, he's got credibility on the world stage. The Americans have already announced stopping joint exercises with SK and said before the summit that there was no longer any need for "maximum pressure" in relation to sanctions and all he's had to do in return is reiterate what he said a month ago that he will commit "to work towards complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula". Nothing about "complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement" which was what the US insisted on and nothing on timescales, Great result for him.

For Trump, he's got his photo opportunity. He's got enough positive headlines to keep his base happy and to impress the gullible, which may result in a few more votes in the mid terms.

For the rest of the world, it's a nothing burger.

We will never know as he will be too old to be pm by the next election.

Jeremy Corbyn is three years younger than Trump, if the Tories go to the polls four years from now (my money is on earlier) he'll one year older than Trump is now.

On a side note, argyle upset you a bit, it was obvious from your reply, though you later edited it to put the boot in.

Some of the stuff you post about me is upsetting, maybe you think I'm the protagonist so deserve a good kicking, but remember, sometimes it's hurtful.

Incredible from Trump. Nobel Peace Prize if this pans out the way we all hope, although I do get the feeling sometimes from some sections of society they would rather see a nuclear war or a financial Brexit meltdown, just to say I told you so?

Quite the opposite from me. I'd like to see Trump removed from power before he does any lasting damage. I don't ever want to be in the position to say "I told you so", when this S**tGibbon starts WWIII off the back of a petty grudge.

Anyone noticed the irony that Trump has discarded a detailed agreement with Iran which involves verifiable decommissioning of their nuclear weapons capability, because it doesn't address its ballistic missile capability. Apparently that was the worst deal in the world. Then a month later he's signed up to an agreement where NK have only committed to "work towards" denuclearisation and also doesn't mention their ballistic missile capability, and in return they have practically become a US ally.

Trump has now managed to build up cordial relations with the leaders of Russia, North Korea, China, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines whilst at the same time pissing off Canada, Mexico, Australia, and most EU countries.

Strange times.

I believe that hypocrisy has been pointed out.
