Donald Trump

Football, sniff etc is an established pass time for many. This specifically holds non of the enjoyment of those. If it is political there must be better ways of venting your frustration. If for example they hate how he treats migrants from Mexico and his wall they could be more specific having someone who looks young sat in a cage or something, that would make an impact. Making a balloon thing will be water off a ducks back to him. I just don't see the point in it really.

Of course people spend their money how they like and i am as wasteful as the next person, this just felt like a futile joke that slightly takes away from the severity of some of his policies.

It does almost feel though as if their is some worldwide effort to have the most original way of making fun of Trump, it is almost a new pass time in it's self. They could have a ranking system with the top person being "The top Trump ****" or similar :-D

Or playing the “Trump Card”. Actually, scrap that - Gerry Adams coined that one back in 1995!

Or maybe they've all just finished stocking up? How are ammo sales, any change?
Good point, with today's engineering i suspect even guns for a few hundred quid can be pretty reliable for years. The market will be slightly saturated to due to said Obama effect as you note. So not just trump, an amalgam of things but Trump is responsible largely for making them all feel very comfortable.

With ammo i expect a slight drop but not to much, sport shooting is still big business. My friend on fb for example is starting to moan he can never get a lane at his local range now at anything like a decent time. Home defense types will still have a box getting dusty in (i hope) a gun safe. Law enforcement i assume will carry on as normal buying new stock etc.

Smith & Wesson is curious because last year they settled a load of law suits against them resulting in customers turning their back on them. That i find a strange position for the hard line pro gun types to take. Maybe it was seen as a weakness, giving ground etc? not sure but it seems strange.

What the fuck has my mod status got to do with anything lol?

His point is the politicians and business have for years served themselves and electorates the world over have had enough of the status quo and have said no more.

Trump, Brexit, Italy...i could go on.

Wealth isnt distributed fairly and it doesn't trickle down as much as it should and whilst i dont believe it ever will, regardless of who is in power, i agreed with his post.

if it helps i agreed with it as a poster on here.

He made a valid point about people being so sick of mainstream politics in general that they railed against it to the point that Brexit and Trump became a reality, but his comment that all those who voted against Brexit and Trump brought it on themselves was way too generalistic and out of order IMO.

On a fiscal level it's a finely chosen balance that keeps the working man in his place with the crumb hypothesis from my macro economics class springing to mind.

If you feed too many crumbs then they will get fat and not return.Too few crumbs and they will get maudlin and not be able to function. You have to sprinkle just enough crumbs to keep them keen. It's not about Trump or May or Putin or any politician you can care to mention.Rather it's to do with the downtrodden accepting their lot in life as a given certainty. The ones that shout loudest tend to always get the most so maybe brothers just maybe it's time for us all to start shouting louder and a time for the many not just the few !

Are you happy to whine and pontificate in the background about your miserable lot in life or dare you rise above your position and ask the guvnor for more ..Well ?

Settling a lawsuit is an admission of wrongdoing, it usually results in negative sentiment (unless you're Trump for some reason).
If firing ranges are that busy then people are still gearing up for violence. Check out Militia formation in the US.

Yeah and it will teach me to fully read and comprehend a post before quoting it in future as i dont agree with that bit.

Apologies.

The fact that wishing people to suffer is a cunts trick and clearly designed to be antagonistic. But as you “agree with it as a poster” then I can see why you fail to see it as being that way.

As I say, it’s the poor that will suffer, but hey ho.

I've posted directly above and apologised for skim reading and not fully comprehending what he had posted before quoting it.

Personally that would buy Smith & Wesson good will from myself. I don't see anything wrong with taking responsibility for your business decisions. They make guns, bad shit is gonna happen, hell, washing machine makers are going to have an issue with a drum coming loose and knocking some poor fucker into the middle of next week sooner or later.

Yeah the fella who was moaning about slots for a gun lane lives in an area with a fair few pepper types. When i lived there one chap came round to see us and was so happy i assumed his eldest daughter had graduated or similar, non of it, his 5yo daughter just fired her first bolt action sniper rifle and he was made right up. Totally normal chap but had a big gaping awareness/comprehension issue with guns. My missus knew the score and gave me that look as if to say "please catch on to the situation" so i just smiled and said well done. The Englishman inside me was screaming "are you bleeding mad man".

I will do some reading on it now though as the dynamic is interesting. If Trump see's the NRA lose their voice that would be just lovely.
