Do you need an address to vote in the UK? or any other country?

It's not that the people in question don't have an address. The old rules were that individuals needed valid form ID and an address. The electoral commission changed the rules to specify that everybody should have a street address on their ID. However, the majority of Native American's have only a reservation name and a PO Box, but no street name. This would automatically preclude them from voting under the new rules.

The defamation case was a little sideshow to keep the Daniels/Trump story in the press while the main case was suspended pending Michael Cohen's federal trial. They knew they had a minuscule chance of winning but Avenatti wants to keep the story in the press.

I doubt either side will be putting too much stock in the result, although it's a nice small PR victory for Trump.

You're obviously not up to speed with the Trump narrative. Any victory however minor is a huge success and any defeat however large is a minor inconvenience not worth mentioning.
