The problem with Trump is that he doesn't see how completely absurd this kind behaviour is. I also seriously think that he doesn't understand that lying is wrong. It's like he's living in his own version of reality, and if anyone challenges him, he either shouts them down or just flatly ignores them.

But what does his base get out of it?
