This may well be a new low for Trump. Vocally giving credibility to a hugely improbable cover story regarding state sanctioned premeditated murder.
Is it really possible for him to go any lower?

He could circumvent the principles of the justice system and tank the American economy by accusing an ally of murder without evidence?

The same thing that a lot of people congratulated Corbyn for not doing over Russia?

Or he could just say nothing.

NOOOOOOOO! This is the mistake all snowflakes make, and it may even have cost Hillary the election! Even Bernie knew “VOTE FOR HILLARY” while many of his supporters made the perfect the enemy of the good, and ended up cutting their nose for to spite their face! Sometimes, it is better to not overthink it! So, WHOMEVER the Democrats nominate is getting my vote, because NO MATTER WHO IT IS, they will be better than Trump. And I mean that in all seriousness!

How many Republicans do you know who ACTUALLY wanted Trump? Now, how many do you know who didn’t want Hillary or any Democrat?! Therein lies the difference between Rs and Ds...Rs know which side their bread is buttered, while Ds are arguing whether the bread is whole grain and whether the butter is organic from cows who were loved!

This election season, I don’t care who is on the R ticket, I am voting STRAIGHT DEMOCRAT (even in the local elections this Nov), because I will not reward or encourage what I have seen happen over the last FOUR years! Disgusting!

Here's a good example of some of the behavior I object to by Warren. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/18/eli...to-demand-wells-fargo-fire-ceo-tim-sloan.html

You’ve just jumped the shark.

Ps, you also know fuck all about economics if you think saying or doing that would tank the US economy.

Aye, applying equal logic is unsettling huh?

The Saudis own significant stock in pretty much every major US company, a ton of financial institutions and numerous infrastructure programs. You don't think they could crash the US economy if they wanted to?

No because to quote you “it’s not binary”. He didn’t have to accuse them of anything or say anything either way. Diplomacy used to part of a President’s job.

No. Not even remotely. Selling stock wholesale and therefore making a potential capital loss lowers a stocks value if done en mass. It doesn’t lower the dividend nor does it lower the profits. Therefore the price equity ratio increases. It then creates an opportunity for other investors to plough in and buy cheap undervalued stock (and that’s if the price even drops for more than a few hours as everyone realises who is selling and why).

All they could do is lower a few stock values for temporary period. That may make a few private investors fidgety for a few days but it has zero effect on an economy. The economy makes makes the markets rise and fall not the other way around.

The US economy is 32x larger than that of KSA at nearly 20tn against 600bn. The Saudi’s couldn’t crash Microsoft.

Their sovereign wealth fund is actually pretty small, in part because so much wealth is tied up in Aramco, which isn't on track for its IPO any more, which should have freed up a ludicrous amount of capital for the SWF to invest, but now won't. As it stands, SA SWF is dwarfed by Norway's, China's and Kuwait's plus many others. Last figures I saw showed that SA owned around 1% of US equities and 1% of outstanding treasuries, but I don't know if that's direct ownership or beneficial ownership through other funds they own pieces of -- I'm pretty sure it's the latter, which gives them far, far less control.

I don't think they could "crash the US economy" at these levels, though obviously they could dent it, and it certainly wouldn't be in their best interest to do so.

Again I want to point out that a stock sell off, even a successful one that crashes a market (subjective term anyway), does not necessarily crash an economy.

The dot com bubble market crash wiped a fortune off the S&P but didn’t crash the economy.
