Donald Trump

I've said I think exactly the same, and I'm ambivalent about Trump, as it's looking like the Democrats have followed
a similar path to the Brexit deniers over here. Still, I'm not fully au fait with American politics, I may be miles out,
but my sneaking suspicion echos yours.
Time for a choon ;)

If you're ambivalent about him you've either not paid any attention to what's happened in the last three years or there's something wrong with you.

No, nothing wrong with me, I know it hurts that not everyone follows your beliefs avidly, but I suggest you get
used to it. You're implying that I support Trump, to me he comes across as a blustering loudmouth, yet I have also seen him
produce a strong economy, and the ethnic minorities enjoying more employment than ever, people may argue this, fine,
I am merely saying, at present I'm ambivalent.

This is one of the most bizarre statements I've seen in this thread in 3 years.
Why?
Are you assuming, like many others, that everyone thinks the same as you?
I am saying that you may be, just possibly, not going to get the result you want, if you do, it won't
trouble me too much, which is my point.

After the last few years in politics with right wing populism, I don't know if it will make any difference

We shall wait and see
It might be worth viewing it by assessing the Democrats had they chosen NOT to pursue this course of action. They could have been accused of being weak and that might lose voters handing Trump another term. He may still win one but I feel the Democrats actions will galvanise the Clinton support at least and from there it won't take much to swing it back. The problem they have is the economy will hold until after the election against the predictions of the economists and even if it does slow down, that is expected after 10 years of growth.

At the very least it keeps Trump on his toes. Is he the type of guy likely to start distrusting people close to him who he thinks might be spying? Probably. He seems to be ignoring his legal specialists if that letter is anything to go by and with that he is likely to make further errors and potentially face another impeachment (if he gets in again).

Because what the democrats have done Is seen Trump commit crimes in public and held him to account through due process.

There is nothing comparable to Brexit in this. Its not about an election, it's about the president bribing a foreign leader to invent evidence of his political rivals wrongdoing.

The economy has always been a powerful vote winner, it was here, the other factors will have influence for sure,
but this is the big one.

At first glance no, but ever since he was elected the exact same howls of anguish and frustration is what has occurred,
which is exactly what happened when the referendum results came out. These incessant attacks can have very negative
consequences, a barrage of them, at the expense of studied opposition to policies, produces a reaction amongst the populace.
Anyway, he ain't going to be slung out now, we all know that, as for the election, we'll see.

For someone who isnt a trump supporter you have certainly swallowed the lies he peddled about employment and the economy.

Ethnic minority employment levels is an Obama carryover.

Only a complete moron would look at that and think Trump has improved unemployment.

Strong economy? At it's best the economy under trump was the same as it was in 2015.

Right now? Growth is 2.9% and the average for the last 90 years is 3%.
