All this is going to depend on whether #45 sorts his trade deals out with China in the next 6 - 10 months..

If not, he's fooked.

The agriculture sector have dropped a lot of support for him. Coal mines are closing. Manufacturing continue to move abroad.

The financial market is what's propping him up.
Yep. The 1% are doing very well, and that includes his power base in congress.

That excuse doesn't work when you ran on a platform of not being a politician and draining the swamp.

It's noted that the Orange One was an avid donor to Dems and Reps if their position suited his needs.

This is why he claims he 'knows how Washington works' all the time and, therefore, supported the 'draining of the swamp'.

All without irony, of course.

Trump is a ****, unfit for high office but..............

It all feels post EU ref with the losing side unable to comprehend the choice of the electorate and any means will do to overturn the decision.

What happened to policies and beating the other side at the ballot box?

Its an election next year and it smacks of a democratic party knowing they have no chance of winning so this is the only way of getting rid and the worst of ti is they know it wont work.

Its all a bit pointless and bonkers if you ask me, much like the campaign to remain was here.

That's what labour were banking on
There's no doubt a risk to the strategy. My take is that Trump was a popular TV personality before the 2016 election and garnered a certain boost to his vote as a result and when combined with the divisive choice of Democrat candidate and under-estimation of Trump's appeal managed to slither over the line. The question will be, if the Democrats can boost their vote can Trump boost his further enough. The mid terms gave a hint that the vote for the Democrats has the potential to increase enough but of course a presidential election is very different.

The mistake Labour made was not being strong enough on the key issues, and they appealed to those who usually don't vote (or first voted) but forgot to appeal to the existing voters.

But he has done exactly what he has been accused of.
