Donald Trump

I never expressed an opinion on why trump.acted the way he did.

Rather I expressed an opinion on the likelihood the in coming President would. Seeing as your question/jibe was that yet some think "Biden would have done the same."

My response simply explored what Biden might have done. And it turns out Biden might have very well done similarly.
If you think that, which is an opinion that can only be reasonably formed based on previous evidence of both Trump and Biden’s behaviour in similar circumstances, then there is no point in continuing to discuss it, as we occupy different perceptive states of reality.

Are you saying Biden would have never acted similarly? Again let's be clear here: The reason you gave to Trump's act is an opinion. The act itself is a fact. Are you saying it's factually impossible for Biden to show Inappropriate or unusual response?

Coz that's really the issue here. Even if you don't see it.

If you think something Trump has exhibited his entire life is somehow down to dementia now... I honestly don’t know what to say to that, other than it is a ridiculous assertion to imply Biden would have handled the situation in the same way, even with his degrading cognitive abilities.

A non-psychopath handles that situation differently.

It really is amazing that you continue to in practice defend Trump and try to make the Democratic candidates out to be the same as him.

It’s not that amazing. @Dax777 is a staunch Trump supporter on a non Trump supporting board so the tactic is to reduce everyone to the same base level.

Also Trump supporters think Trump is genuinely smart. Trump gaffes are just his mind working too quickly for his mouth to keep up for example. Biden’s gaffes are dementia. For supporters it’s not false equivalence.

But I think Trump has some form of Dementia. And I don't think he is particularly smart. So.....

Anyway, as I've said repeatedly to Seb and SWP let us for the purposes of all discussions related to Trump assume I'm his biggest fan. So we can all stop referencing the dead point that I'm defending him ad nauseum. Just argue the issue.

Strange how I don't think y'all are Biden loyalist for disagreeing he might have acted similarly. But hey, I get it. Different rules for us and thems who disagree with us. Animal farm over here.

No, we are not discussing facts, we’re discussing opinions, hence why I have said “if you think”, and you and I have both referenced “opinion” in our responses — you’re trying to change the reference point to make your statement appear reasonable.

Reasonable opinions are based on a reasonable analysis of evidence available, as I alluded to in the post you are quoting, which means there are more and less reasonable opinions. Assessment of them is subjective, of course, but collective assessment can still help a group determine the relative reasonableness of an opinion (where it falls on the continuum), and I believe it would be fair to say your opinion about Biden likely acting the same as Trump is unreasonable based on the evidence available.

I was not speaking to what could happen in my original post but what would likely happen. Almost anything *could* happen, so that is a stupid thing to debate and fixate on. But I think you know that and are just employing your regular tactic of attempting to change the framing of the debate to suit your stance or obfuscate the meaning to frustrate the discussion.

By the way, I am responding to your original message because I can’t be bothered with reading your responses, composing and posting my response, then checking your original response to see if you edited it to change the original meaning or to add more response (as you did in this case), and then amending my response. It is a unreasonable way to discuss anything.

You are posting on a non Trump supporting forum so the tactic is to accept Trump has issues and reduce everyone else to that level.

Anyway, now that I have that response out to Dax, I am going to move on, as I don’t feel like spending my birthday arguing.

I’m 36 today, and already have other things sapping me of my energy, I don’t need a row with a Trump-apologist further using the limited reserves I have left.

I hope everyone has a splendid, Trump-free weekend.

Happy birthday ****.

Trump a psychopath or sociopath? I have no qualifications in mental health but based on a lifetime of just living among other people I do think he's mean, cruel and egotistical. Two examples will do for me:
1. his treatment 4 years ago now of that disabled reporter, mocking the guy's speech & movements. 2. he's never had cats or dogs in his life. Doing so can be a sign of a certain degree of empathy and gentleness of nature, which I think Trump lacks. He's said you can grab a woman by the pussy but I can't imagine him stroking one.
