On that second shot you can see the exact moment she realises that if she spends one more second being 'diplomatic' for Trump her reputation is done.

If only 60000 Americans die from COVID-19 and 50000 die from bleach poisoning or 3rd degree burns after spending 12 hours in the sun or putting their head in a microwave, that's still only 60k dying from COVID-19.

She has already declared him a genius on the subject. She is fully tied into this - that moment captured is where her credibility and life's work has been destroyed in a couple of sentences.

She could resign today and declare him unfit to and try and claw it back but she knows what she has said on the subject.

Trump is dangerous and I have no time for him but to be fair to him he never said that the headline doesn't reflect what he said. Although what he was saying was stupid enough those conversations need to be off camera.

There’s no need to be fair to him. He’s demonstrated on every day of his presidency and for many years before that that he’s a deranged lunatic. If you think the worst of him you’ll be right 99 times out of 100.
