I can't help but think Republican senators would still not have impeached him.Side note: Kinda pissed off with Woodward for not releasing these tapes in February/March rather than keeping them for his book release. I can’t help but think a few tens of thousands of people would still be alive.
Seriously, has anyone asked Woodward why he didn't release the tapes sooner?

Apart from Dobbs lie about previous presidents, over 300 people were nominated last year - this is not a major thing at the moment.

Why was Trump talking so indiscreetly to Bob Woodward, of all the people, in the first place? Does he not know who he is?
Surely, his previous book on Trump would have given him a clue as to how this would go! Massively calls his judgement into question (as if we needed another example).

I've seen it suggested that he was so annoyed that he wasn't told about interview requests for the previous Woodward book about him, he all but insisted on this one. So hubris mostly, the belief that he could control what would happen.
Eighteen taped interviews seems astonishingly thick.
