Your interpretation of the interactions reported in the video is peculiar.An I the only one who can see the obvious here? They are not talking to you coz they think you are a foreigner. They are talking to you coz they think byou are a hot woman. But doing a bang up dumb job of it *Facepalm*
First guy an Indian American say something stupid and racist cuz she is out of his league. He is a douchebag. They are easy to spot. You are a good looking woman. You must have encountered lots of this. Brush it off like the no one hw is.
The 2nd kid might simply have been an overeager kid who knew One or two Asian languages (or some words) and he was trying to impress a hot Asian woman.
He asked "do you speak English?" And while she snapped at him, his response was what other languages do you speak? Tell him to fuck off I'd you aren't interested. The guy them mumbles some words in an Asian language. It's obvious what his game was all along. He was attempting too connect with a hot woman and he failed miserably.
But the attitude of victimhood that is now so pervasive has made this woman and and her friend/director/whatever, assume the worst possible intent and take the worst possible reading of events. :(
And no, the cop is not even remotely an example of racism. Simply correcting the idiocy she and her friend assumed: Asking in an airport if you speak English and any other languages, is simply an attempt to connect... Not a racist incident... Sorry!
A guy without a mask shouldn't be in your face, and if he continues bothering you, yes can call the cops or tell him to fuck off!
The first guy was a dick and yes his language was racist. Sadly, because he was Asian other SJWs gave her flack for pointing out what should be obvious to anyone with peas for brains or better: Anyone can be racist.
But her interactions with that 1st man colored ( no pun intended) her view of the latter 2 interactions.
I mean Americans have always been castigated for arrogantly assuming everyone should speak English... So, if you can't assume everyone should speak English and you can't ask if a Stranger speaks English in an Airport, what's an American to do?
Fucking CNN, can't help themselves. Gotta stoke that racial divide.
====
First interaction:
"Ni hao. Ching chong."
At least you recognize that this is blatantly racial.
But you seem to suggest that it's to be expected because the reporter is a young, attractive woman.
====
The second interaction:
"Do you speak English?"
You suggest that this may simply have been an attempt to impress the reporter; a pick-up line.
Really?
I'm pretty terrible with women, but, I can tell you with all honestly, having spotted an attractive woman whom I'd like to impress... my pick up line would never have been, "Do you speak English?"
No...
The words, "Do you speak English?" are at best prejudicial - having seen a person with an outwardly Asian appearance, the utterance assumes that said person may in fact not speak English.
But it's much worse than simply prejudicial - it's a form of aggression - a hostile act - racial... the undertones are that even if you do speak English, you don't belong here, you're not like me, and I'm intentionally asking the question to intimidate you - if, in all likelihood, you do in fact speak English - I'm conveying to you that your kind isn't welcome - I, and others of my ilk, are going to question why you are here.
====
Of course, I might have misinterpreted the 2nd exchange - mistakenly believing that the query is racial - whereas it is simply misguided - save for the reporter's description of the encounter - it wasn't innocent or curious from her perspective - it was aggressive and hostile.
====
As for the policeman's interaction - he's way off base for the reasons cited above - and moreover as a member of law enforcement in a major metropolitan area - it's amazing that he'd react to an obviously racial incident in this manner. The officer must certainly have undergone training about racism.
====
I'll close with this...
Dax, you feel 100% convinced that you are correct - that the incidents described above - save the first - aren't racist - and rather that it's the left trying to exploit racial divide.
Given the unanimous pushback on your viewpoint, you would do well to stop and reconsider your position.
