He plays the populist game very well. It's no coincidence that support for the likes of him and Trump comes predominantly from the places least affected by the issues that they go on about. Fear of what they say might happen is a powerful motivator and works less well in areas where it's already happened and it's been proven not to be as bad as they've made it out to be. Hence the vote split between cities and smaller places in both the UK and the US when came to Brexit and Trump respectively.

I voted Leave but think he's a bellend and went out of my way not to listen to a word he spouted during the EU referendum campaign ;) You do kind of have a point though - on Brexit Farage has stuck to his guns for years. Trump, on the other hand, used to be a Democrat but then switched to Republican, bangs on about patriotism but effectively committed treason by becoming Putin's woman, and bangs on about democracy but wanted to "stop the count" in a democratic election! The only consistent thing about Trump is that he's always been an odious ****.

Yes it can. One candidate said the pandemic was a hoax and no need to wear a mask. The other said the opposite. Therefore Trumps supporters were majority walk in voters Bidens were far more likely to use postal voting.
They count the walkins first so the candidate who's voters are majority walkin has a huge lead they then start voting the postal votes and that lead begins to be whittled away.

Imagine us vs the rags at Wembley. Full house but they let the rags in first to fill their end. At a certain point the rag fans say "see - told you - arm chair plastics no-one turns up to watch at the emptyhad ". Then we are allowed in and gradually our end fills up and they say "this isn't fair they are letting more blues in than they should there will soon be more of them in here than us " would you agree with the rag supporters and blues should be stopped from entering?
