Comey has dropped him right in the shit,how much more are the republicans going to put up with i wonder

Well they have put up with so much already that its difficult to say. What will come out to day is that he has tried to pervert the course of justice. However it will be an allegation without a smoking gun and you get the feeling its going to take some serious hard evidence before they go for him. Presidents have only ever resigned - can you see him resigning?

• James Comey was fired in May, allegedly after "losing the confidence of almost everyone in Washington" and is testifying on the FBI's investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the US election

• Mr Comey says he has no doubts Russia interfered in the 2016 election

• The former FBI director accuses the Trump administration of trying to defame him and the bureau

• He claims President Trump repeatedly asked him to drop the investigation into the resignation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn

• Mr Trump is also said to have asked him to publicly announce the President was not the subject of the Russia investigation

On a meeting with President Trump on 6 January, James Comey says he was concerned Mr Trump might lie about what was said.

He adds he knew there might come a day when he would need a record to defend himself and the FBI.

He is basically saying trumps a liar, he lied about him, he could have been part of the collusion but at the time of the question from trump he wasn't. But, later he could have been, so his colleague disagreed he shoukd tell him no when the possibility still remain.
