Yep, and it never happened before Trump. Your country had plenty of gun toting nutters before he came to office, and they'll have them when he leaves. Trump hasn't invaded anywhere yet, so I suppose he needs that on his CV.

As for the concerns, the global rise of Nationalism was supposed to be over after the Nazi atrocities, but some people seem to believe that such matters, while maybe not to the degree undertaken by the Nazis, are necessary to help their population survive multiculturalism and the whole mixing of the races. We have been warned many times, by both history and literature, but we are, for all intents and purposes, still just dumb animals, whose base instincts are (what we believe to be) survival at all costs.

Trump is a product of our times. That is no comfort.

Yeah it did that subscription thing to me when I went back. The writer was comparing the whole thing to his reality TV shows.

I've screenshot the article (couldn't copy the text) but bluemoon's been threatened before for putting up stuff that reduces corporations' click money.

Worth a read and I posted the link cos for me, and maybe @malg , it is like reality show where you forget your own problems by looking at someone else's. And I'm not saying that's a healthy thing to do for the world either!

Equating "both sides" in this weekends protests and murder is like shaming the rape victim for showing up with a dress on! Did you see the torches parade on Friday night? Do you know what that is reminiscent of? Did you know that the Civil Rights Act in the US was only signed in my lifetime...and it was hugely contentious even then!

And, this murder is not an isolated incident. Earlier this year, a Nazi sympathizer walked up to a black man standing at a bus stop on a college campus and stabbed him to death, right there, on the spot.

Richard Collins III was about to graduate from Bowie State University on Tuesday. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. He was airborne certified. He was a son, a friend, and active in his church.

To Sean Urbanski, a University of Maryland student, he was black. At around 3 am on Saturday, May 20, Collins waited for an Uber ride along with two friends who were students at UMD at an on-campus bus stop. Urbanski walked up to them, and, according to witnesses, said, “Step left, step left if you know what’s best for you.” Collins simply replied, “No.” He stood his ground. Urbanski then stabbed him in the chest and fled the scene. Collins died at the hospital.

The incident was captured on CCTV. There was no mistaking what happened or why. White Nazi murdering black man in cold blood on the street on his way home from the bar.

I'm sick and tired of the people who hear the dog whistles and claim there was nothing to hear, and then turn around and try to point to some thing "the other side" said or did. It is tired. It is lazy. In this instance, it is racist Nazis trying to take over a small city and threaten others into submission...and we have a president who is trying to facilitate them and their methods. The Nazis have planned NINE other "rallies" this weekend. I would politely suggest that if they happen, things might not go well.

Trump is a disgrace, they are a disgrace, and the appeasers and apologists on this thread are a disgrace.

fucking hell, I never knew anyone from Obama's administration except state's secretary and vice president. I've learned all of Trump's all the way down to the cleaners. And most of them are gone now.

Middle class ponce. I can see the rest of your house now. Thick cream carpets, heavy velvet curtains, John Lewis sofa, Swarovski animal figurines. Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Badedas, no doubt. His and her electric toothbrush. Hygeina kitchen but you ran out of money so it's only half done. Denby dinner service. Newly gravelled driveway, BMW 3 series (bottom of the range diesel). Dog sleeps in the utility room. Bet you make visitors take their shoes off.

Oh wait, I'm talking about my ex's parents.
