A decent rule of thumb in life:

Anyone who tells people to "think for themselves" or calls people "sheeple" is not worth engaging with. In my experience they are invariably an ugly mix of inadequacy and arrogance. I generally imagine long-haired, big-booted software engineer types although I appreciate that is a hugely broad stereotype.

"Clever Devils" my Dad calls them.

I'm fine with sheeple being used in correct context - so Utd fans and Sun readers.

It's crazy that Kapernick hasn't been taken on by ANY team in the NFL for his SILENT protest.

For some reason, all the White owners of the NFL teams think that employing Kapernick, who took a team to the Super Bowl, will lose them money/ hurt their brand.

This is the sport/ brand that employs drug/ steroid abusers and wife beaters over a man that took a knee...

I've been to a couple of meetings with some American DoD engineers this week. I went out Wednesday evening with a few of them and the conversation inevitably got round to Politics. These were clever guys, but so utterly deluded when it comes to Trump. They just couldn't see anything negative about his attitude and behavior. I thought I was going to get lynched when I suggested Trump was less presidential than Tricky Dicky.

Undoubtedly Trump is a moron of great proportions but the world is a big place and what are the rest of them doing? Fuck all by all accounts. Let's all cower behind the Americans while acting all superior.
