Rodman is being very passionate on CNN at the moment. Some people will deride him for crying and preaching for a better world. To me, it's great seeing someone give a fuck.

Did you know that in America we have to hire people to put shredded and ripped up documents back together? Why do you think that is?

I’ll help you out....Because Trump likes to shred or tear up documents after he has seen them. He seems to think he is still CEO of Trump Inc., not the President of the United States who has to follow the laws he swore to uphold. That law says ALL presidential papers have to be saved, and recorded for historical purposes....even classified papers.

His aside after the interview made me laugh. Something along the lines of "How has the country got to the point where Dennis Rodman understands two political leaders better than us?"

I don't understand. Are you saying that because the US economy is so big that the military-industrial complex is economically irrelevant? (Armaments is about 10% of American factory output.)

Or that ISIS (which may not exist but for US policy in the region) is why you need the military industrial complex (with its tentacles in government)?

The US backed Iraq in the war against Iran then went to war to defend Kuwait (to defend boundaries partly set up to carve up the area for US and British oil interests) then invaded Iraq using 9/11 as a pretext when it was more the Saudis to blame for 9/11 (and ISIS).

You don't think the 1980s were the height of the cold war. In Europe we were getting cruise missiles as part of an American strategy of "limited nuclear war" (limited to Europe) while the US was supporting Pinochet in Chile and other dictators in Central America against popular revolutions. "We're on the side that's murdering nuns." Tensions were pretty high on our side of your cold war, and Reagan's evil empire talk was just turned back on itself.

Check your bloody history. The invasion of Britain had already been cancelled as they couldn’t win air superiority.

Parts of Europe might have a more German tinge but the British wouldn’t be speaking German.

And let’s not forget why they joined the war. It wasn’t to help Europe out but because they’d just been attacked by Japan and had the Japanese and Germans declare war on them. They were more than happy to sit on the sidelines and profit by selling 30 year old equipment at extortionate rates to the Brits.
