The **** wore it lone ranger style, ie over his eyes, when looking at the most recent coronavirus numbers and briefings on Russian bounties on his troops. Nobody told him he needed eyeholes in it.

What you have to remember is that there are genuinely millions of people who believe the earth is flat and that the generally held belief that is globe shaped is a massive conspiracy (still not sure by who and to what gain). So never underestimate how fucking stupid some people are and how willing they are to believe any conspiracy they hear.

Also, you have to remember that in the US, it's not that hard to become a lawyer/doctor/teacher, compared to a country of literate people, so you will get a lot of cranks. Being top of your class isn't hard when the rest of the class are busy licking windows

To be fair in general, doctors, teachers and lawyers are just as qualified in the US as the UK. What I tend to find is that when you get away from their profession they can be pretty dumb in terms of common sense and general knowledge of anything else; certainly their knowledge of anything outside of their general circle of influence is often pretty low.

Its a perfect storm for them, they built the machinery to propagate lies and conspiracy theories designed to support Trump and cover his failings. And then a virus comes along and starts killing Americans and the machinery just does what it does and you have all these Trump fans dismissing the Virus and treating it like a partisan political issue. They can't turn the machine of so Trump can't go against it, he is stuck between his own incompetent administration and his social media BS machine that can only work one way.

Saw on the news a friend of trumps who was at the last rally not wearing a mask or social distancing is now very ill in hospital,can't say I am bptheted,if you want to risk it the have it

RE the $100k. I read that one of the pieces of proof was large bank transfers from Russian bank accounts to known Taliban accounts. Presumably they know how many soldiers they paid out for then?

They might even be able to put names and faces to some of them, and while that's pretty horrific, I can't think of something that would hammer the story home more and make it the end of anyone involved.

But our networks don't want them. There's a plethora of journalists/satirists out there who put their political bias aside and report facts but we don't want them getting prime time to hold people in power to account do we.
