These sort of direct, aggressive, disruptive, destructive, violent “interventions” from Trump supporters are only going to escalate and become more frequent.

As I have said before, Trump has been ‘deputising’ his militias for some time, and he is ramping up his efforts leading to (and beyond) Election Day right now. He has publicly supported this group that entered Portland and created even more chaos than existed before.

If he doesn’t leave office, those vigilante groups will grow and become his own informal Republican Guard, with near-official sanction (they’re not far off that now, really) and regime backing.

That tweet from Murphy proves why, politically-speaking, Trump supporters going into Portland is really dumb. Portland has had to suffer through months of rioting now (and alot of far left nonsense before that) but by going in there it allows people to try and make it about the Trump lot rather than the far left and the Democrats who have, at the very least, been allowing it to go on.
The smart thing would be to just sit back and let Democrat cities reap what they have so gladly sown

The rising social unrest, armed vigilantism, and march to autocracy is all the Democrats’ fault.

If only the left would just recognise Trump as their (and America’s) supreme leader, and accept that democracy is a silly concept that needs binning, that racism, misogyny, corruption, and oligarchy are just the natural order of things, that the rule of law only applies to them, and that might is always right...

Ha trump stood at the podium during a covid briefing whilst they were on lockdown and told his supporters in democrate states to go out and protest against lockdown because it was the horrible dem governors that were trying to take their rights away, their guns away etc. So they turned out and went to the governors houses with their automatic guns to scare the shit out of them
