Donald Trump

That would conflict with SCOTUS’ own ruling that the immunity issue must be tried at trial court. If they agreed to hear a case, what possible ruling could they make that doesn’t junk their own previous ruling requiring a trial within a trial? I don’t think they will accept such an appeal but will rule that any appeal must be on the merits of the finding in a full trial, ie immunity plus substantive issue. Even then, the number of cases would overwhelm SCOTUS.
Trump has been very lucky to get his criminal trials delayed this far. If there was no election he would be sentenced by now and could be in jail. I'm OK with the delay in that sentence as there was a risk it would help him more than hinder.

And I always said that just the prospect of these trials starting and the evidence coming out will do damage. SCOTUS have burned their credibility to get it to this point. Are they going to go further or do they accept a lost cause. This evidence will come out.

He was lucky that the 1st case in florida was assigned to Cannon. Probably any other judge would have progressed that trial but she used the position to block all others.

Yes there was plenty of help from SCOTUS but the block came from cannon and it was pure luck she was assigned the case.

In retrospect though, Trump's complaining about weaponised justice now seem ridiculous as the system has bent over to help him. If he loses he can then go to trial without any political consequences. Should have gone to trial 2 or 3 years ago but here we.

Cannon should not have been.allowed to just dismiss the case, and the SCOTUS immunity ruling is a fucking joke.

Having said that, Biden could use the ruling to his advantage by claiming he is carrying out an official presidential act in sanctioning Trump for actions compromising nation security. I'm sure SCOTUS would have something to say about that though...
