In the same press conference he has called inflation ridiculously high, yet later on said that since the election, markets have recognized his policies will be good for America and inflation is at LOW levels never before seen!! It’s 2.7%, which is above the Feds preferred long run rate of 2%, but the fear is that it is going to start to rise again!

Everything with Trump is the “best it’s ever been” under him. It’s so childish and patently false.

He’s such an embarrassment!

If America controlled energy costs, they STILL wouldn’t be lower, BECAUSE OIL COMPANIES WANT TO MAKE MONEY!!!

There is a basic cost to get it out of the ground, then a margin of increasing profitability as prices rise. However, you then reach a price point where economic activity slows down due to the input cost of energy.

In that sweet spot, everyone is making money and the Saudis & American oil companies are happy.

Also, the US has the shale fields that have a higher cost of production and thus are much more sensitive at the margins for capping and uncapping them.

The US is ENERGY INDEPENDENT, but it chooses not to transition vehicles and industry to natural gas, so it still has to import some oil.

In short, the US energy “argument” is a red herring! “Drill Baby Drill” is already here, with the US maxing out to historic levels of production.

He's like that insecure "my dad's bigger than your dad" kid that everyone had the misfortune of knowing in their childhood.

Incidentally, I don't think it's a coincidence Zuckerberg's change of fact-checking policy happened on the same day as this press conference.

Trump even mentioned it!

Zuckerberg knows two things: Computers & generating wealth!

He’s not going to jeopardize either for the next 4 years.

These guys are all so craven.
 
The good news is that it won't be a war when Agent Orange invades Panama/Greenland/Canada, California.

He doesn't do wars like no-one's ever seen before.
He'll probably ask some close personal advisors for an alternative. My money's on a Special Military Operation.
