In a few months time I'm off to live and work in the US (at least for the next few years). There is absolutely zero chance of me ever engaging in US politics chat outside of my house. I've made that mistake on previous visits and realised that it's simply not worth it.

I think a lot of it it's to do with the way they are taught history and 'civics' from an early age (especially in deep red states) - such an insular view of the world.

So - hypothetically speaking - the CIA has evidence that Trump is a Russian asset. Is it credible evidence? If so, they can turn the evidence over the the justice department after first making sure that any asset which the evidence might be traced back to is made safe.

Like I said they can only act if they have evidence of a clear cut crime. Most Russian assets will be monitored by the cia but they won't have sufficient goods to prosecute.
